# Cannot build vtkrenderingExternal on windows

This is external dependencies :

This is build options :  
 ![T}GG8C49TC(YFS5}P71OF%1](https://discourse.vtk.org/uploads/default/original/2X/5/5f38fbd37b892ad19dc6e6c06c5fb8d9c4788923.png)  
I can find three dependencies in cmake output .  
But the flag ` //Request building vtkRenderingExternal Module_vtkRenderingExternal:BOOL=OFF`  
It always OFF, even if I change it to ON .

Please post error messages in full and as text, not images. I suspect the message at the top of the output window is important, but it is inaccessible.

There are no external rendering related file build…
