# Deprecate vtkTemporalStreamTracer and vtkPTemporalStreamTracer

Hi all,

We are working to deprecate vtkTemporalStreamTracer and vtkPTemporalStreamTracer.

These classes don’t have tests and have been refactored a while ago into  
vtkParticleTracerBase and vtkPParticleTracerBase.

Also new classes have been created: vtkParticleTracer, vtkParticlePathFilter,  
and vtkStreaklineFilter to handle advection for temporal vector fields.
