I used [Transparency example](https://examples.vtk.org/site/Cxx/Images/Transparency/) to test the display of vtkImageData with vtkImageActor.

If I put data in X and Y (like in the example), I can see the yellow rectangular.

If I put data in X and Z, I don’t see anything.

I put camera in a diagonal to be sure to see the rotated rectangular.

Please find enclosed my code. At line 24, if you `#define XY`, you will be able to see the image. If you `#undef XY` (data will be in XZ), no rectangle is displayed.

[main.cpp](https://discourse.vtk.org/uploads/short-url/lsQnvHQ3wUxvwDhkw7P7wzbSj6G.cpp) (2.9 KB)

Did I missed something ?

Thanks for your help,

It seems to be [partially supported](https://gitlab.kitware.com/vtk/vtk/-/issues/17480)
