# Is there a VTK installer available for Windows 10 (64-bit)?

Hi,  
I’ve been trying without success to install vtk on my Windows computer. Regardless of what I try (different versions of vtk and different compilers, etc), I get a whole host of errors. I’m not sure it’s worth it for me to spend a whole of time sorting this out (for one thing, my projects unrelated to vtk compile fine).

It would be so much simpler for me if I could just install vtk using an installer (an msi, exe or something like that).

So-- is there a vtk installer or precompiled binaries for Windows 10, please?

The only precompiled binaries available for VTK are the wheels available through `pip install vtk`. Everything else is done from source. What errors are you encountering? Do [the build instructions](https://gitlab.kitware.com/vtk/vtk/blob/master/Documentation/dev/build.md) help?
