# QtQuick scenegraph is using an unsupported graphics API: 4.

Hi everyone,  
I’m using vtk-QtQuick component(QQuickVTKRenderItem,QQuickVTKRenderWindow)，and the following problem occurs when I try to build it:

Version : QT6.2 , vtk9.2.0 rc2.  
What can i do to solve this problem?

Hi,

Have you tried calling `setupGraphicsBackend()` on your `QQuickVTKRenderWindow` instance as suggested by the message? According to its documentation:

> This method sets the graphics API to OpenGLRhi and sets up the surface format for intermixed VTK and QtQuick rendering. **Use this method before instantiating a QApplication/QGuiApplication** in a QtQuick/QML app with a VTK render view like [QQuickVTKRenderItem](https://vtk.org/doc/nightly/html/classQQuickVTKRenderItem.html).
