# Vanishing cursor

The Discourse text editor drives me crazy. Every time I use a toolbar button for text emphasis the cursor disappears. It reappears when I select hide/show preview. Can someone please fix this?

I don’t have this issue with Chrome on Windows. What browser are you using?

I think this is a discourse.org-hosted discourse instance, so you need to report issues to them.

Also note that you can use Ctrl+I shortcut instead, which is faster than reaching for your mouse anyway.

Maybe this has not been tested thoroughly enough with Firefox. Chrome is killing all other competing browsers by having such small annoying differences.

Kitware hosts this instance and GitLab is updated regularly. If a fix makes it into the GitLab source code, it will soon be running on this instance.
