# VTK v9.5.2 release (planned for next week)

Hello VTK users and developers,

We expect to release version 9.5.2 next week. This update will include important bug fixes from version 9.5.1.

Please review the relevant updates on the [9.5.2 milestone](https://gitlab.kitware.com/vtk/vtk/-/milestones/26) and prepare for the upcoming release.

In the meantime, if you have a patch that should be included, please ensure it is backported to the release branch as per the instructions in the [developer’s guide](https://docs.vtk.org/en/latest/developers_guide/git/develop.html#merge-a-topic) and tag it with the milestone.
