# vtkLinearExtrusionFilter does not extrude all faces only the basis

Hi everybody,

I want to extrude towards (0,0,-1) down. But i have realized that linear extrusion filter only extrudes the basis of the stl as the image shows. I wonder if there is a filter that considers all the faces as image builder.

Hello! Forgive my ignorance, but can you clarify a bit what you’re getting and what you’re trying to achieve? The figure is not clear for me.
