# vtkSmartVolumeMapper GPU path → OpenGL error 1280 (Invalid enum) in vtkOpenGLProperty after first Render

I’m seeing an OpenGL error when trying to render a volume with `vtkSmartVolumeMapper` (GPU mapper). The first render triggers:

```auto
ERR: vtkLogForwarder.cpp(13): ERROR: In vtkOpenGLProperty.cxx, line 59
vtkOpenGLProperty (0x000001EB1E664700): failed after Render 1 OpenGL errors detected
  0 : (1280) Invalid enum

```
