Add Word Cloud to InfoVis

Folks,

As I reported earlier, I add a Word Cloud example to the VTKExamples Project..

Now, I plan to add a vtkWordCloud class InfoVis/Core. I think it will be a useful addition for presentations.

For example, I wrote a memoir about my childhood dogs, called A Boy And His Dogs

There are lots of options to fine-tune the presentation including:

  • Color selection: Random, Named Color, Named Color Scheme
  • Orientations: Enumerated or Random Distribution
  • Mask Files
  • Built-in StopList of words to ignore
  • User stop words
  • Replacement words

Bill, you can’t just say ‘Mom won him on a local TV show called “The Sheriff of Cactus County.”’ and leave it at that. There’s surely a good story here.
