Have there been any thoughts into having more complete support for EGL as a replacement for GLX? I’m interested in having EGL offscreen plus EGL onscreen (xcb/X11) in a single build of VTK.
It is certainly possible but we question the wide availability, compatibility and funding given that the native windowing interfaces are already implemented and working fine.
If we solve the funding issue we can certainly implement this as an additional interface.
