Any guides for building VTK on Ubuntu 18.04 using WSL? Support

Hello! I am trying to build VTK 8.1 for Linux basically in WSL, because I want to incorporate this functionality showcasen here in my own code; https://lorensen.github.io/VTKExamples/site/Cxx/IO/WriteVTP/ I am struggling quite a bit, since I am able to build it succesfully and find some of the header files, but for some reason some files like; vtkCommonCoreModule.h vtkCommonDataModelModule.h Are not found and I am pretty clueless to why that would be the case?
