Just wondering if you advise to use the pip version of python3-vtk, rather than the one from dnf which seems to be a bit old at this point.

Kitware does not maintain the Fedora package (though @opoplawski is involved and we answer questions as we can).
If you only need the Python interfaces, then the wheel should be suitable.

Updating vtk in Fedora is a heavy task and I’m overloaded. F44 will have 9.5.2. It’s also not possible to do an update in a stable release (at least that I’m aware of).
