Is there a VTK longterme support version

Hi,

I am considering using VTK for a project on Ubuntu 22.04 but I don’t understand the release mechanism.
On the download page there is the latest Release, the previous realease and the earlier version. As I am writting the latest release is the 9.3.1 the prevous is the 8.2.0 and the earlier one is the 7.1.1.
The problem is that the latest is changing often and the 8.2.0 is not compatible with Ubuntu 22.04 due to gcc version.
Therefore, I am wondering when will the next longterm VTK release will be released if I may say.

In short, there is no VTK LTS, if you want the most stable version of VTK, you want to use the latest release, which is VTK 9.3.1.

Indeed, I agree that the download page is confusing, lets hope it gets updated soon.
There will be no more release of VTK 7 or 8.
